The polemical sites call this a Vatican 'softening'. The honest reading is the reverse: the Hebrew teshuqah means 'desire, longing', so the CEI's 'istinto' actually tracks the Hebrew — while the older 'under his power' (Vulgate sub viri potestate) was itself the interpretive hardening.
